We have been impressed with quality of service that Equis has provided. They were able to integrate with our Epic EMR System, rapidly catch us up with old transmissions, and keep us up to date with all new transmissions. I would recommend them to any clinic that is struggling to provide remote monitoring to their device patients.

Our History

Equis was created to specialize in remote device follow-up which would result in promoting better clinical outcomes for the patients and allowing the office to focus on outstanding in-office personal care. Equis currently partners with many clinics dealing with the challenges of ever increasing device checks utilizing limited resources. Equis operates as an extension of the staff of numerous health providers in multiple states ranging from university hospitals to small regional clinics.

Industry Background

Over the past four years, remote device follow-up has increased two times and is forecasted to double again in the next four years. Although this has increased patient flow efficiency, it is now reaching a point that is not scalable for clinical staff at many physician office practices and hospital clinics. There is also a very large amount of clinically relevant data that is being captured by these devices that is not being evaluated due to volume. If this data was examined carefully, it could be used to provide better patient outcomes. Device functionality has increased dramatically over the last 10 years. The introduction of RF telemetry technology has allowed for many new diagnostic features, which include impedence monitoring, multiple new alerts for atrial and ventricular arrhythmia and lead functional monitoring. ECG has a trained staff of clinical professionals that can assist hospitals and clinics manage this new source of data to provide better patient outcomes.
